UAE exports to hit $206bn this year

UAE's exports for 2008 are expected to touch Dh757.8 billion ($206.3 billion), against an estimated Dh607.7 billion ($165.4 billion) in 2007, said an Oxford Business Group (OBG) report.

UAE's imports for 2008 are estimated to hit Dh491.7 billion, according to the OBG's 'The Report: Abu Dhabi 2008', as quoted in the Gulf News.

The country's GDP (gross domestic product) in 2007 was Dh729.7 billion, according to the UAE's Ministry of Economy.

And overall current account balance is expected to go up to Dh241.8 billion in 2008, against Dh153.1 billion estimated for 2007.
