The Six Senses Hideaway Zighy Bay on Oman’s Musandam Peninsula, the boutique resort referred to as “The ultimate in chic escapism”, by the prestigious Vogue magazine in the UK, started operations this week.
Hidden by the rugged Hajar Mountains, the setting of the indigenous village-style accommodations and private marina is dramatic, with rocky ranges on one side and a 1.6 km sandy beach on the other, said an official.
The resort comprises 82 private villas, including pool villas, pool villas suites, deluxe pool villas and Zighy pool villas, as well as two Retreats.
Six Senses Hideaway Zighy Bay presents diverse dining alternatives to inspiring excursions and activities.
Dining on the Edge, a contemporary modern dining restaurant “For Two”, presents a panoramic view over Zighy Bay from the top of the mountain edge – also the jump-off point for the hugely popular paragliding activity.
There is also Zighy Deli serving light comfort meals and Dining on the Sand offering modern and local favorites, in addition to personal in-villa dining beside private swimming pools. The marina will introduce a nautical theme to drinks and snacks with Bites.
As with every Six Senses Hideaway and Latitude, the Six Senses Spa is a focal point, and at Zighy Bay, the spa is a key element. Offering the world famous Six Senses signature treatments, the Six Senses Spa at Zighy Bay also features some Middle East features such as Hamams; one for ladies and one for gentlemen, bringing true Turkish delight to the art of sparing.-TradeArabia News Service
