Cavotec, a leading supplier of innovative power solutions and innovator of airport equipment, said it has acquired the Meyerinck Group, a Germany-based international refuelling and industrial loading systems.
Revealing the acquisition’s impacts on the regional operations of Cavotec, Thomas Widegren, executive chairman of Cavotec Middle East, said, “The move to acquire the Meyerinck Group is one of the most significant business decisions we have done in recent times.
Meyerinck began operating under the name of Cavotec Meyerinck GmbH staring from November 1.
"Meyerinck, as an integral part of Cavotec MSL, brings a wealth of technologies to our existing portfolio of comprehensive, cost-effective products and services which we can offer to the region’s military and commercial airbase customers," he noted.
"We are extremely happy to have the additional capacity to offer more to our valued partners in the Middle East, he added.
Meyerinck has been in the market for 40 years, and has designed and manufactured some of the most advanced refuelling and industrial loading systems, transporting aircraft fuel and a variety of other chemical liquids, for the most demanding customers.
The company’s solutions have assisted scores of clients in satisfying their refuelling requirements and overcoming the most challenging situations to meet the strictest military and commercial standards.
Furthermore, Meyerinck has had significant involvement in the chemical and petro-chemical industries.
The group has provided systems to customers such as Bayer, Linde, and BP, to support loading and unloading of a wide range of liquid media.
“We are confident that the combination of Meyerinck’s well-developed product range and our global sales network will further reduce Cavotec’s exposure to the current economic climate,” added Ottonel Popesco, Cavotec MSL chief executive officer.
Wolfgang von Meyerinck, managing director of the Meyerinck Group, said, "We are very pleased to join Cavotec and look forward to working within its international network."
"Cavotec’s global scope, coupled with Meyerinck’s niche expertise, will lead to the mutual expansion of our core activities," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
