Cylingas, a subsidiary of Emirates National Oil Company (Enoc), has launched a productivity programme aimed at providing enhanced services to customers.
As part of the programme, Cylingas has pumped in Dh6 million ($1.63 million) for the setting up of an electronic synchronised full hydraulic rolling machine to double the rolling/forming of steel plates.
The company move is aimed at boosting the production from 3,250 to 6,500 tons per year.
Saeed Khoory, Enoc Group chief executive, inaugurated the Cylingas unit and witnessed the commissioning of the machine comprising ‘MCB 3070’ four rolls 3000mm x 70mm with ‘HP Servo-Tronic.’ The machine is equipped with energy-saving technology.
Also present at the ceremony were Yusr Sultan, chief executive – shipping, terminalling, & LPG, LN Goculdas, managing director – Cylingas, and Prem Upadhyay, general manager - Cylingas.
Created by internationally-reputed manufacturers, M/S Davi Promau from Italy, the state-of-the-art rolling machine is fully computerised and capable of rolling plates of 3000mm width and 70mm thick plates and with a diameter ranging from 800mm to 8000mm.
“With the commissioning of this machine, Cylingas will be able to better serve their customers and business associates in a more efficient manner. We are proud to provide a wider range of products to exceed the expectations of our customers,” Khoory said.
The main features of the machine include cone rolling capacity comprising 75 per cent of the pre-bending capacity, rolling speed of six metres per minute and clamping pressure for any level of thickness.-TradeArabia News Service
