DHA gets good response at Careers UAE

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) said it had received a total of 1,532 job applications during the recent Careers UAE 2017. Of this, about 100 applicants had been interviewed and 40 shortlisted.
The DHA announced that it is looking to fill more than 400 jobs this year in different healthcare fields such as medical, nursing, paramedical, and administration.
Amna Al Suwaidi, director of human resources at the DHA, said that 62 per cent of those who applied to DHA jobs held diploma or higher certificates.
She also revealed that of the 48 applications DHA had received for medical-related jobs, about 79 per cent were from female candidates.
“We are seeking to communicate with all of the candidates in the coming days to complete the rest of the procedures,” said Al Suwaidi.
She said DHA offered Emirati graduates with ample educational and training opportunities, within the country and abroad, so that they can pursue higher medical qualifications and serve the medical needs of the emirate.
“DHA is taking part in the health and science programme and so is going to offer scholarships for high school graduates in the fields of health, paramedics and nursing. We have received 29 applications for medicine, six for nursing and 13 for paramedicine,” said Al Suwaidi.
She pointed out that the DHA offered attractive packages for Emiratis that includes: competitive salaries, health insurance, plane tickets and nature of work compensation for some professions.
Currently 100 per cent of DHA’s top leadership are Emiratis and Emiratis hold 80 per cent of supervisory positions, said a statement from the authority.
Furthermore, around 77.4 per cent of DHA’s Emirati employees are female and 22.6 per cent are male, DHA strives to provide females with constant career growth.
The authority pays special emphasis on providing employees with a positive work environment and promotes innovation and creativity at work, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
